Hey guys/girls its been a while I know. Lots been going on in my life for the good but my car has crossed 130,000 miles and now has started giving me problems. When I get on the car, it will build boost and then around 3,000 RPMs it will start to spit and sputter. Then I lose the ability to blow off. I have to reset the computer for it to blow off again. Changed the plugs and the gap looks good. No codes. The car will drive fine when you drive it like a Prius. Any thoughts?
The blow off or having the blow off valve open is activated on vaccume. There are no electronics or sensors in play there as far as I know. I would check your lines. In terms of gap most people have success with .026 to .028 when they have blow out.

My caliber was ms1 only and I had one step colder plugs gapped at .031 the whole time ms1 was in without any spitting or sputtering. If it's not a leak or plugs could it be a possible turbo seal? My neon srt4, when I had it, used to spit and sputter, mostly under full boost and when I took it to the dealer they told me it was the turbo seal. I'd say rule out the obvious and cheaper fixes first.

Yup sounds like symptoms I had about 4 years ago when that line ripped on me and had to replace it. Things got worse over time the larger the hole got. Nobody really had an idea on what the problem was because it hadn't happened before. I just happened to reach my hand down there and noticed a nice 6 inch gash in the hose.
