So i just recently bought an 08' SE

where would i go about getting parts for the SE? ive tried online a ton of times and nothing really pops up. i want to look at everything from cosmetic to performance. preferably a body kit of some sort to start off, the basic look just isnt doing it for me.

We do specialize on the SRT4 here but AFAIK, there aren't that much options for body kits.

There's the DUB kit and a few things here and there but nothing major.

The SRT4 side skirt should be bolt-on to the SE and you could make the rear fit as well. The front stuff is a no go because of the longer hood & frame of the SRT4.

There are available replacement hoods, including with functioning scoops, available but are rare. White Boys Hood made one but have been out of stock for eons so it may be dead.

As for performance, it depends what you got. 5 Speed or CVT?

If CVT, write it off. Other than CAI and exhaust, that's pretty much it.

yeah i have the CVT, wouldve like a 5 speed but it was too good of a deal to pass up.

you pretty much answered what i needed, thanks.

but for the performance parts, it matters what kind of transmission you have? or is it just because its CVT and not a regular automatic?

It's because the ECU, throttle body and PCM limit the crap out of what it considers safe torque to the CVT.

The R/T model is right at the top edge of the torque capacity of this transmission. You have a bit of room to spare, but fly-by-wire of the throttle body will limit what you can do.

hence, other than CAI/exhaust, you wont be able to do much.

i suggest wheel and tire conversions

I have played with http://www.1010tires.com online (wheel and tire combos)
We can have better cornering and braking in dry conditions than the stock P205/70 r15 (wich are very good on bad roads because they absorb quite a bit of bad stuff or like i'm doing now for winter and deep snow ... it's almost here ... )
But in case you have good roads :
Maybe 17 inches with 215/55 R17 ... or you will see on the site ... your preference.
I have the irridium spark plugs - I suggest the NGKs, I saw a very big difference in smoothness ! and maybe a bit of miles/per gallon.
For the SE model with CVT we have to be patient and carefull to what we do to her ... she's a nice economical lady. with a good heart in heavy winter storms.
I love the Mopar hood protector - saves a lot paint shipping, + looks good with the Mopar rear wheel mud gards - looks a bit 4 x 4 that wants to bite the snow.

Drop it tint it throw some big wheels on it

I was going to put a intake and exhaust on my wifes car but I'm not sure about the whole cvt thing, I just cant get used to how it goes to a rpm and stays there must be a weird experence hearing the same exhaust tone for a extended time.
