Has anyone run 4" exhaust from the cat back?

Thanks NJCSRT4. That will force me to get the car on the DYNO and get it tuned.

Any advantage to this?

I was discussing exhaust output with my tech advisor this morning. He happens to have a CSRT4 as well. He mentioned upsizing the exhaust would bring no value to the car.

Also noteworthy, users of MS1 could actually remove their cat. converter. The MS1 bypasses the O2 sensor down the pipe.

Hmm does that mean it is not operational at all? If so wonder if it could cause it to foul out and fail prematurely if you need to switch back to the stock pcm.

no worries. i would however, put the money elsewhere. Do a sst turbo from realtune with injectors and a tune on a dyno and the car would be way faster than with a larger exhaust!

It still functions. Ie, it sends data, but MS1 is ignoring it.

If it fails, I do not know if it'll throw a cell. I don't presume, since it's input is completely ignored.

Way too big unless you're running insane amounts of boost. Even then, 4" is ridiculously big.

My tech advisor, whose got a CSRT4, tells me he runs a 6" conical intake (I wish I'd see that). He feels the larger the intake, the larger the filter and thus the lesser the restrictions.

I think that's a bit excessive because a good (clean) filter will deliver it's air without restriction.

The PTP Inlet tube (wich I have) uses 4" piping and a conical silicone coupling to the turbo.

Where it actually helps is that it's got a smooth and rigid piping instead of the flubber stock intake. More noise as well.
